House Rules at VITA Augustów
We want you to enjoy your stay. The following terms help us ensure that.
Booking and payment
- Please pay the charge for your stay on the first day of arrival.
- For a one-night stay, we add 50% to the price. This reflects the cost of preparing the room (cleaning and laundering bed linen), which is the same for one night as for a longer stay.
- The payment made towards the booking constitutes earnest money (Polish: zadatek) within the meaning of Art. 394 of the Polish Civil Code — if you cancel your stay, the earnest money is non-refundable; upon request, we may transfer it to another date.
- If you shorten your stay, we do not refund the charge for unused nights.
Stay times and quiet hours
- Check-in from 14:00, check-out until 11:00.
- Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 6:00 — please respect neighbours who are resting.
Breakfast and meals
- Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:00.
- For more than 10 guests, meals are served as a buffet. For fewer guests, meals are served on plates.
- Breakfast must be eaten on site in the dining room. Food, crockery and cutlery must not be removed from the dining room.
- You may enter the dining room for breakfast only once. Refills are unlimited while you remain there.
- We can prepare takeaway provisions for an additional charge upon request — please order by 10:00 the day before.
- Dinner is served at 15:00. Orders are accepted the day before, no later than 10:00.
Resort fee
- Augustów is a spa town, so we charge a resort fee in accordance with the resolution of the Augustów City Council (Resolution No. LXXIV/665/23 of 30 November 2023).
- Adults: 6,00 zł for each commenced day of the stay.
- Children up to 7 years old: 2,00 zł for each commenced day of the stay.
- The fee covers the entire stay. Please pay in cash.
- Exempt from the fee: organised groups of schoolchildren and young people, blind persons and their guides, and persons staying in hospitals.
On the VITA premises
- Only registered guests may be present on the VITA premises — this applies to the entire property: the building, beach, pier, tennis court, sports courts and garden. We do not accept visits from people who do not have a booking with us and do not make the grounds or beach available to outside visitors. If you expect someone who is not staying with us, please arrange to meet outside the property. Unregistered persons will be asked to leave, and the guest who brought them in is responsible for them. This rule protects the comfort and safety of our guests.
- VITA is a smoke-free property. Designated smoking areas are provided on the premises. Smoking outside those areas is prohibited — including on balconies and terraces — as are e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products. Failure to follow this rule incurs a 500 zł cleaning fee.
- Please leave the room in the condition in which you found it. Please report any damage — together we will find a solution. Guests are financially liable for damage caused by themselves and the people accompanying them. Parents are liable for damage caused by their children.
- Please return your key at check-out. A fee of 60 zł is charged for a lost or unreturned key.
- You may leave money, documents and valuables with us for safekeeping — please speak to your hosts. Our liability for valuables left in the room is limited to the scope defined in Articles 846-849 of the Polish Civil Code.
- If you leave something in your room after check-out, please contact us. We keep found items for 3 months and, upon request, send them to the specified address at the guest's expense.
- For fire safety reasons, please do not use your own heaters, cookers or other heating appliances in the rooms. This does not apply to chargers and power supplies.
- The car park is unsupervised. We are not liable for damage to vehicles.
Beach and lake
- Our beach and lakeshore are unsupervised. Swimming is at your own risk.
- Life jackets are available free of charge — please use water equipment responsibly.
Sauna, hot tub and bonfire
- The sauna, garden hot tub and bonfire may be prepared only by VITA staff — for safety reasons, please do not use them on your own.
- Lakeside bonfire: 100 zł for the first 2 hours; each additional hour or part thereof costs 50 zł. Included: firewood, roasting sticks and preparation of the fire pit. Please notify reception.
Staying with a pet
- Pets are welcome regardless of breed or size. Fee: 50 zł/night per animal. We accept a maximum of 3 animals per room.
- Please declare your pet when booking — state its breed, size and any special needs. An undeclared animal in the room incurs a 300 zł fee (plus the charge for the animal's stay).
- Please bring an up-to-date vaccination record and proof of deworming.
On the VITA premises
- In common areas and on the property, please keep your dog on a leash and under the handler's control.
- Your dog may accompany you in the dining room — please keep it by your table, on a leash and under your control.
- Please clean up after your pet promptly. Waste bags are available on the property.
- After a walk, please wipe your dog's paws before entering the room — paw towels are provided in the room.
In the room
- Your dog may get on the bed and sofa — a protective blanket is provided in the room.
- A calm dog may be left alone in the room for a short time, provided it is accustomed to this and will not bark or howl.
- The following items await your pet in the room: food and water bowls, a blanket and waste bags.
Safety
- The VITA grounds are fenced, but please do not let your dog off the leash without supervision.
- Quiet hours (22:00–6:00) also apply to animals — please ensure that your dog does not disturb other guests.
- The owner covers any damage caused by the animal.
- If an animal behaves aggressively and endangers the safety of other guests, we reserve the right to end the stay early and refund a proportionate amount for unused nights.
